Those Two Chapter 2

Sally came inside to see Sidney sitting at the dinning room table still in her pajamas eating a bowl of cereal. She looked up at Sally.

“You’re up early, mom.” she said.

Sally looked up at the clock on the wall. It read: 8:35. She didn’t realize she was up that long.

“Oh yeah I guess I am.” Sally replied
“Why were you outside anyway?” Sidney asked. “Were you getting the paper?
“Well, I went outside to get some fresh air, when I saw a girl with cat eyes picking through our trash.”

Sidney was a little confused by this, but she heard the trashcans tip over that night. Sally and Sidney talked for a while until Jack and Shawn woke up. Their morning was pleasant and quiet while they had breakfast, that is until the doorbell rang. It woke up the triplets and made them cry very loudly. Sally, Sidney, and Shawn hurried up stairs to help the babies stop crying and Jack went to answer the door. When Jack opened the door he saw the Mayor looking terrified.

“Mayor, what’s with you?” Jack asked.
“Oh Jack it’s just terrible!”
“Why?! What happened?!”
“I’ve been robbed!!!”
“Tell me were it happened!”

The Mayor took Jack by the wrist and pulled him outside. Jack was taken across town to the Town Hall where the Mayor was robbed.

“Ok this is what happened- Jack are you listening to me?!”

Jack was nervously looking around to make sure nobody saw him, because he was still in his pajamas. Jack finally snapped out of it when he saw Mayor’s angry face.

“O-oh I’m sorry…w-what?” Jack stammered.

The Mayor rolled his eyes.

“So anyway,” he continued “I was on my to your place to talk about the plans for your son’s birthday party when all of a sudden this girl with one eye and bat wings  pushes me down and takes my money!”

Jack was amazed! There hadn’t been any robberies in Halloween town for years.

“Ok Mayor. Let me get dressed in some descent clothes and then we’ll look for this girl.” He said.
